United States Tenth Circuit

US v. Jordan, 06-1161

Defendant's conviction for fatally stabbing a fellow inmate in broad daylight at the recreation yard of a federal penitentiary is affirmed over claims that: 1) the district court erred in refusing to admit evidence tending to show the stabbing was committed by another inmate; and 2) the court erred in concluding that multiple armed robberies committed during a 1994 crime spree were unrelated crimes, thus making him eligible for sentencing as a career offender.
