About the Supreme Court
The United States Supreme Court acts as the “court of last resort” in the U.S. legal system. The court receives thousands of petitions each year. Around 100 are chosen for review by the nine justices. The modern court’s main job is to be the final decision-maker on issues involving the Constitution.
