IN RE: Filing, Service, and Transmission of Notices, Forms, and Records in the First District
Administrative Order 23-1
BY ORDER OF THE COURT:
Effective immediately, the Court withdraws in their entirety Administrative Orders 10-1 Electronic Filing of the Docketing Statement/Notice of Appearance of Counsel, 10-4 Electronic Filing of Records on Appeal, Registration and Filing of Court Reporter Extensions of Time, and Other Pleadings Filed After September 1, 2010, 12-1 Electronic Transmission of Court Orders to Registered eDCA Users, 12-2 Electronic Transmission of Court Opinions to Registered eDCA Users, 12-3 Electronic Transmission of Court Mandates to Registered eDCA Users, 18-1 Electronic Filing of Records on Appeal Through eDCA, and 19-1 Electronic Filing and Electronic Service in the First District.
Attorneys and pro-se parties must use the Florida Courts E-Filing Portal to file in this Court, except when paper filing is authorized under the Florida Rules of General Practice and Judicial Administration. The E-Filing Portal is available at https://www.myflcourtaccess.com. Filers must comply with all relevant Florida Rules of General Practice and Judicial Administration, Florida Rules of Appellate Procedure, Rules Regulating The Florida Bar, and Florida Courts Technology Standards. If a filer discovers a mistake in a brief, petition, response, or reply after filing the document, the filer must file an amended document and a motion requesting that the Court accept the amended document. Correspondence not intended for docketing in a case should not be submitted via the E-Filing Portal.
Attorneys for appellants or petitioners, pro-se appellants, and pro-se petitioners must file and serve a Docketing Statement & Notice of Appearance of Counsel. A fillable form version of the Docketing Statement & Notice of Appearance of Counsel is available via a link on the Documents tab of the E-Filing Portal and on this Court's website at https://www.1dca.flcourts.gov/Resources/General-Information.
Clerks shall transmit certified notices of appeal and records on appeal to the First District using the E-Filing Portal. Clerks must include a Notice of Appeal Transmittal Form with the certified notice. A fillable form version of the Transmittal Form is available via a link on the Documents tab of the Notice of Appeal path of the E-Filing Portal and on this Court's website at https://www.1dca.flcourts.gov/Resources/General-Information.
Attorneys and pro-se parties must designate an email address for service as provided in Florida Rule of General Practice and Judicial Administration 2.516.
