Upon consideration, the pro se Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus alleging ineffective assistance of appellate counsel is hereby denied. See Mendoza v. State, 964 So. 2d 121, 129 (Fla. 2007) (“ ‘[T]he failure to raise a meritless issue does not constitute ineffective assistance of counsel.’ ” (quoting Fennie v. State, 855 So. 2d 597, 607 (Fla. 2003))).
