CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, Appellant(s)/Petitioner(s), v. Delia R. KENNEDY, Appellee(s)/Respondent(s).
Following review of the Petition for Writ of Certiorari, and the Response and Reply thereto, it is ordered that the Petition is hereby dismissed. See Magbanua v. State, 281 So. 3d 523, 527 (Fla. 1st DCA 2019) (holding that although a pretrial discovery dispute left a criminal defendant disadvantaged in preparing a defense and could cause substantial delay and expense on remand for a new trial, this is not the type of harm certiorari exists to prevent); Gomez v. Rendon, 126 So. 3d 315, 317 (Fla. 3d DCA 2013) (“ ‘orders denying discovery are not reviewable by certiorari because the harm from such orders can generally be rectified on appeal’ ”) (citation omitted).
FERNANDEZ, C.J., and LINDSEY and BOKOR, JJ., concur.
