Karla WOOTEN, Petitioner, v. Mark S. INCH, Secretary, Florida Department of Corrections, et al., Respondents.
Karla Wooten petitions this Court for a writ of habeas corpus, asserting that she is being illegally detained at a prison in Wyoming. Because Wooten is in custody outside this Court's territorial jurisdiction, we lack authority to issue the extraordinary writ. See Art. V, § 4(b)(3); Alachua Reg'l Juv. Det. Ctr. v. T.O., 684 So. 2d 814, 816 (Fla. 1996) (“[A] district court of appeal does not have the constitutional power to issue a writ directed to a person outside the district court's territorial jurisdiction.”). Thus, we dismiss Wooten's petition.
Per Curiam.
Rowe, C.J., and Roberts and Jay, JJ., concur.
