Stephen BREWSTER, Appellant/Petitioner(s), v. Thomas KNIGHT, Sheriff of Sarasota County, et al., Appellee/Respondent(s).
As the petitioner appears to be seeking to compel action relative to materials requested from the clerk of the circuit court and the sheriff, the petition for writ of mandamus is transferred to the Twelfth Judicial Circuit Court for Sarasota County. See Itturaldes v. Gardner, 820 So. 2d 444 (Fla. 5th DCA 2002); cf. Major v. Hallandale Beach Police Dep't, 219 So. 3d 856 (Fla. 4th DCA 2017).
The transfer of this case should not be construed as an adjudication or comment on the merits of the petition, nor as a determination that the transferee court has jurisdiction or that the petition has been properly denominated as a petition for writ of mandamus.
BY ORDER OF THE COURT:
SILBERMAN, MORRIS, and ATKINSON, JJ., Concur.
