PEOPLE v. YALO.†
Defendant herein pleaded guilty to the charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and, his application for probation being denied, was sentenced to imprisonment in the county jail for a period of 1 1/2 years. This appeal is from the judgment and sentence, appellant contending that the provision of section 19a of the Penal Code, added by St.1933, p. 2217, limiting the period of sentence to 1 year, is controlling.
The same question was raised and disposed of in the opinion filed this day in Re People v. William Hoyt Lewis, Cal.App., 77 P.2d 249; and, for the same reasons set forth in said opinion, the judgment appealed from herein is affirmed. Since no appeal lies from a sentence, the attempted appeal therefrom is dismissed.
DORAN, Justice.
We concur: YORK, P. J.; WHITE, J.
