United States DC Circuit
US v. Proctor, 05-3132
Conviction and sentence for unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition by a felon are reversed as the district court erred in denying defendant's motion to suppress evidence. Police officers failed to follow Metropolitan Police Department standard procedure and, thus, the impoundment of defendant's vehicle was unreasonable and violated the Fourth Amendment.
