United States Eighth Circuit
US v. Sallis, 07-1263
A conviction for bank robbery is affirmed over a claim of erroneous denial of a suppression motion where a conceded traffic violation provided probable cause to stop defendant's vehicle, and the officer's actual motivation for stopping her vehicle was not relevant. The sentence is affirmed as there was no error in imposing an enhancement under U.S.S.G. section 2B3.1(b)(2)(F) for making a death threat in the course of a bank robbery, in circumstances where defendant handed the teller a demand note.
