United States Seventh Circuit

US v. McGee, 08-3816

Defendant's bribery conviction is affirmed where, although the district court erred in allowing the prosecutor to expose the jury to hearsay regarding the issuance of certain surveillance warrants, the district court did not commit plain error because it was not possible, given the strength of the government's evidence, to treat the jurors' knowledge of the intercept warrants as undermining defendant's substantial rights.
