United States Seventh Circuit
US v. Roberson, 06-1121
Sentence for bank robbery and using a firearm in a crime of violence is overturned on the government's appeal where the district court judge was required to determine the proper sentence for the bank robbery entirely independently of the minimum sentence for the firearm charge, and a sentence below the minimum guidelines sentence for the robbery would be unreasonable.
