United States Fourth Circuit
US v. Hood, 09-5027
In a prosecution of defendant for possession with intent to distribute marijuana and carrying a firearm during a drug trafficking offense, district court's imposition of an enhanced sentence of 140 months' imprisonment in finding defendant to be a career criminal is affirmed as the possession of a sawed-off shotgun offense constitutes a "crime of violence" for purposes of section 4B1.1(a)(2).
