CGB Occupational Therapy, Inc. v. RHA Health Servs., Inc., 05-3409, 05-3586

In a dispute between a provider of rehabilitation therapy services in long-term care and assisted-living facilities and the manager of two nursing home facilities, a punitive damages award which was a reduction of a $30 million punitive damages verdict against defendant to $2 million is vacated and remanded for entry of a $750,000 award as that was the maximum constitutionally permissible punitive award.
