Chikkeur v. Mukasey, 05-2893, 07-1798

Algerian citizens' petition for review of denials of their applications for asylum and related relief, as well as their motion to reopen, is denied where: 1) the IJ supportably found, on the record, that petitioners failed to demonstrate the requisite link between certain extortion and his political opinion or membership in a particular social group; and 2) there was no abuse of discretion in denying the motion to reopen.
