In a suit brought by fishermen alleging a violation of federal law after the defendants failed to put compensation arrangements with the plaintiffs in writing, a partial award for plaintiffs is affirmed where: 1) the district court chose the correct analogous limitations period for purposes of determining whether the doctrine of laches applied to the plaintiffs' claims; 2) the district court did not abuse its discretion in applying laches to the plaintiffs' older claims; and 3) the district court correctly determined the amount of plaintiffs' damages.
