Abbott v. Perez, 17-586

Reversed in Part, affirmed in part and cases remanded. In this gerrymandering case, the US Supreme Court found that the Texas court erred in enjoining the use of districting maps adopted by the Texas Legislature in 2013, stating that it was the challengers burden to show that the 2013 Legislature acted with discriminatory intent and it was not the 2013 Legislature obligation to show that it had cured the discriminatory intent.
