United States Supreme Court
Benisek v. Lamone, 17-333
This a Maryland gerrymandering case, wherein a motion for preliminary injunction was denied by the District Court. The US Supreme Court affirmed the decision holding that the District Court did not abuse its discretion in denying a preliminary injunction in light of Gill v. Whitford, No. 16-1161, pending before the Supreme Court. The Gill case was expected to shed light on critical questions at issue in the Benisek case.
