United States Supreme Court

Artis v. District of Columbia, 16-460

Reversing a district court determination that the applicable statute of limitations on state claims were not tolled on account of their inclusion in a federal suit that was ultimately dismissed because the period of limitations is tolled while a claim is pending in federal court and for a period of thirty days following dismissal unless state law provides for a longer tolling period.
