United States Supreme Court
Bosse v. Oklahoma, 15-9173
Death sentence for conviction of three counts of first-degree murder for the killing of a woman and her two children is vacated where: 1) the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals remains bound by Booth v. Maryland's prohibition on characterizations and opinions from a victim's family members about the crime, the defendant, and the appropriate sentence; and 2) the state court erred in concluding otherwise.
