United States Supreme Court
James v. Boise, 15-493
In a case involving attorney fees under 42 U.S.C. section 1988, the Idaho Supreme Court's award of attorney fees, on the grounds that it was not bound by the U.S. Supreme Court's interpretation of section 1988 in Hughes v. Rowe, 449 U.S. 5 (1980), is reversed where the Idaho Supreme Court, like any other state or federal court, is bound by this Court's interpretation of federal law.
