Defendant's convictions for knowingly making false statements with respect to any fact material to the lawfulness of the sale of a gun under 18 U. S. C. section 922(a)(6), and for making a false statement with respect to the information required to be kept in the gun dealer's records under section 924(a)(1)(A), are affirmed, where: 1) defendant answered falsely on the form he filled out that he was the actual buyer of a gun when he was buying it for his uncle; 2) defendant's misrepresentation is material under section 922(a)(6); 3) defendant's misrepresentation about the identity of the actual buyer concerned "information required by to be kept" in the dealer’s records; and 4) such a misrepresentation is punishable under the statute, whether or not the true buyer could have purchased the gun without the straw purchaser.
