In a Chapter 7 bankruptcy case, in which plaintiffs sought to exclude roughly $300,000 in an inherited individual retirement account (IRA) from the bankruptcy estate using the "retirement funds" exemption, 11 U.S.C. section 522(b)(3)(C), the Seventh Circuit's ruling that the exemption does not apply is affirmed where funds held in inherited IRAs are not "retirement funds" within the meaning of section 522(b)(3)(C).
