United States Federal Circuit
Crediford v. Shulkin, 16-1386
Vacating the judgment of the Veteran's Court upholding a Board of Veterans' Appeals denial of service connection to a man with a cervical spine condition suffered when he had an accident after a night of drinking at a Veterans of Foreign Wars Club that the Coast Guard determined to have been an accident that wasn't due to his misconduct and occurred 'in the line of duty' because the board erred in making its own findings on the question of willful misconduct without addressing the earlier Coast Guard findings.
