In an appeal of inter partes reexamination of several claims of a patent entitled 'Methods and Systems for Controlling an Exercise Apparatus Using a USB Compatible Portable Remote Device', the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office's (USPTO) Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) decision affirming the USPTO examiner’s rejection of all the pending claims as obvious, is: 1) affirmed in part as to claims 43, 71, and 86; and 2) vacated in part as to claims 46, 57-62, 65, 74, and 98-100 and remanded for further proceedings.
