Drone Technologies, Inc. v. Parrot, S.A., 2015-1892

In an infringement action involving patents directed to systems for remotely controlled machines, the District Court's judgment and damage award to plaintiff is: 1) vacated where he district court abused its discretion in issuing the two discovery orders and in entering a default judgment against defendant for its failure to comply with the orders; and 2) affirmed as to denial of defendant's motion to dismiss for lack of standing, however on remand, defendant will have the opportunity to reassert its invalidity defense based on alleged incorrect inventorship.
