United States Federal Circuit

Server Technology, Inc. v. American Power Conversion Corp., 2015-1605

In an infringement action involving patents related to intelligent power distribution units (PDUs) that digitally display the amount of power being drawn, the District Court's adoption of a jury's advisory verdict that plaintiff's patents were not invalid as obvious and judgment upholding the jury’'s verdict that those patents were infringed by defendant, are reversed where the District Court's conclusions were based on an erroneous claim construction.
