In an infringement action involving a patent directed to a method for facilitating bilateral and multilateral decision-making, the district court's finding of exceptionality and award of attorney fees to plaintiff is: 1) affirmed in part as to the finding of exceptionality and decision to award fees, where the court did not abuse its discretion; but 2) reversed in part as the amount of attorney fees where the court did not properly explain its determination of reasonable attorney fees.
