Atlas IP, LLC v. Medtronic, Inc., 15-1071
In an infringement action involving a patent which describes and claims a protocol for controlling wireless network communications between a hub and remotes, alleging that certain of defendant's products for monitoring a patient's condition infringed the patent, the district court's grant of summary judgments of non-infringement and rejecting anticipation and obviousness challenges to validity are: 1) affirmed as to the non-infringement ruling; and 2) reversed as to the validity ruling and remanded for further proceedings.
