United States Federal Circuit

SpeedTrack, Inc. v. Office Depot, Inc., 14-1475

In an infringement action involving a patent directed to a computer filing system for accessing files and data according to user-designated criteria, alleging that defendants' online retail websites infringed the patent, the district court's grant of judgment as a matter of law in favor of defendants is affirmed where the doctrine announced in Kessler v. Eldred, 206 U.S. 285 (1907), precludes plaintiff's infringement claims in full.
