United States Federal Circuit
Cardsoft v. Verifone, 14-1135
In this patent infringement case, plaintiff alleges that defendants infringed two software patents for small, specialized computers. Judgment of infringement in favor of plaintiff is reversed, where: 1) district court erred failing to give the claim term "virtual machine" its ordinary and customary meaning; and 2) plaintiff waived any argument that defendants infringed under the correct construction.
