In this patent litigation involving an alleged infringement of the asserted claims of the '543 patent by defendant's device for introducing or withdrawing a sample from a container holding a fluid without contaminating the fluid, summary judgment in favor of defendant is affirmed, where: 1) defendant's device neither literally contains the claimed "removable, replaceable transfer member," nor does it provide an infringing equivalent; and 2) prosecution history estoppel prevents plaintiffs from asserting the doctrine of equivalents as to this claim limitation.
