Amdocs Limited v. Openet Telecom, Inc., 2013-1212
Summary judgment in favor of defendant in an action in which plaintiff alleges that defendant's product infringes four of its patents for data mediation software, is: 1) reversed in part and remanded as to three of the patents, where the district court did not err in its construction of enhancement and completion, but plaintiff's documentary evidence describing the structure and operation of the accused product creates genuine factual issues regarding whether the product meets these constructions; and 2) vacated in part and remanded as to the fourth patent, where the finding of non-infringement is based on an erroneous claim construction.
