Marcum LLP v. US, 2014-5001

Dismissal of plaintiff's Fifth Amendment takings claim seeking compensation for unpaid legal fees incurred for work rendered as a court-appointed legal services provider pursuant to the Criminal Justice Act (CJA) is affirmed, where: 1) the CJA provides its own remedial scheme; and therefore, 2) plaintiff cannot collaterally attack the Fifth Circuit's determination of plaintiff's fee awards under the Tucker Act.
