Nycal Offshore Development Corporation v. US, 2013-5001
In a damages dispute arising out of litigation over a number of offshore oil and gas leases that the United States sold to oil companies in the 1980s, judgment of the Court of Federal Claims denying an award of lost profits to plaintiff is affirmed, where plaintiff failed to meet its burden of proving causation and thus has not established its right to a lost-profits award.
