United States Federal Circuit

Wolfchild v. US, 12-5035

In an action in which claimants allege that they belong to a group of descendants of Indians designated in the original appropriations acts which set aside land for this group, and that they, rather than three Indian communities, hold rights to the land at issue and any money generated from it, the Court of Federal Claims' judgment is: 1) reversed as to the judgment against the government on the claim to pre-1980 money; and 2) affirmed as to the judgment against claimants on the remainder of the proposed claims.
