La Crosse Technology, Ltd. v. US, 12-1370

The Court of International Trade's classification of plaintiff's models of imported electronic devices that measure and display atmospheric and weather condition into three categories of Weather Station models, Professional models, and Clock models under the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), is reversed with respect to the models at issue on appeal, which should be classified as Professional models, because all of the devices on appeal have forecasting capabilities, which is the defining characteristic of the devices.
