United States Federal Circuit
Eplus, Inc. v. Lawson Software, Inc., 11-1396
In a suit for infringement of a patent directed to a method for a system that enables businesses and organizations to use computer networks to purchase goods online, district court's judgment is: 1) reversed as to its determination that the system claims are not indefinite; 2) reversed in part as to its denial of judgment as a matter of law of non-infringement on claims 28 and 29; 3) affirmed as to the grant of an injunction as the district court did not abuse its discretion in granting too broad an injunction; and 4) affirmed as to the district court's judgment to exclude the testimony of plaintiff's damages expert.
