In plaintiff's suit against more than 100 domestic and foreign defendants for infringement of patents related to a global paging system utilizing a land-based packet-switch digital data network and a feature for allowing subscribers to remotely designate countries in which they are, or expect to be, located, the judgment of the district court is: 1) affirmed as to the grant of summary judgment of noninfringement in favor of the domestic carriers and to the foreign carriers; but 2) vacated in part and remanded as to the grant of summary judgment of noninfringement to the software providers on claims 11, 12, 14, 21-24, and 26-28.
