Kinetic Concepts, Inc. v. Smith & Nephew, Inc., 11-1105
In a suit for infringement of patents related to methods and apparatuses for treating difficult-to-heal wounds by applying a suction or negative pressure, district court's grant of judgment as a matter of law of invalidity for obviousness is reversed and remanded, as on the basis of jury's factual findings, defendant failed to establish by clear and convincing evidence that the claims at issue were obvious.
