United States Federal Circuit
In re Mouttet, 2011-1451
In an action relating to a "Crossbar Artihmetic Processor," a computing device for processes such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using nanoscale materials in a crossbar array, the Patent Appeals and Interferences decision affirming the rejection of all pending patent claims under 35 U.S.C. section 103(a) is affirmed where substantial evidence supports the Board’s factual determinations, and the claimed invention would have been obvious to one having ordinary skill in the art.
