United States Federal Circuit
Atlantic Research Marketing Systems, Inc. v. Troy, 2011-1002
In an appeal from a judgment of the district court on certain patent claims involving weapons technology, judgment is affirmed where the district court did not err by granting summary judgment invalidating claims on written description grounds and in denying defendant's JMOL motion as to his state law trade secret claims, but reversed where the court erred in denying defendant's motion for mistrial because it did not properly address a jury taint issue.
