United States Federal Circuit

Avgoustis v. Dept. of Veteran Affairs, 2010-7092

In a dispute involving a claim of attorneys fees as a prevailing party under the Equal Access to Justice Act, 28 U.S.C. section 2412(d), denial of recovery for certain items involving client communications, on the ground that the statements did not describe the purpose of the activity sufficiently to determine if the charges were reasonable, is affirmed because requiring a general descriptions of the items would not violate the attorney-client privilege.
