In a suit over the infringement of a patent for a method of treating bacterial ear infections, judgment in favor of plaintiff is reversed where: 1) the district court erred in determining the level of ordinary skill in the art; and 2) under the correct level of ordinary skill, the method secured by the patent would have been obvious to a person engaged in the art.
