Pfizer, Inc. v. Apotex, Inc., 2006-1261

In a patent dispute arising from defendant's application to commercially sell its generic version of Pfizer's Norvasc drug for hypertension and angina, a judgment in favor of Pfizer finding infringement is reversed where the district court erred in holding that the subject matter of certain patent claims would not have been obvious.
