United States Federal Circuit

Propat Int'l Corp. v. Rpost, Inc., 06-1222, 06-1223, 06-1270

A decision dismissing, without prejudice for lack of jurisdiction, plaintiff's patent infringement action involving an apparatus and method for document authentication is affirmed where the district court correctly found that plaintiff's rights created by a May 2002 agreement did not accord it rights in the patent sufficient to give it standing to sue, even with the patent owner named as a co-plaintiff.
