United States Federal Circuit

Eolas Techs., Inc. v. Microsoft Corp., 06-1238

In a patent case involving computer software, denial of a software maker's motion to reassign the case to a different judge following a remand from the circuit court is reversed since the federal circuit court defers to the law of the regional circuit on the issue of reassignment, and Seventh Circuit Rule 36 requires reassignment.
