Because the district court misconstrued the term "adjoining" as used in four claims of the patent, and because no reasonable jury could find those claims infringed, summary judgment of infringement is reversed in part. Because issues of fact remain with respect to claims containing the (also misconstrued) terms "polygonal" and "annular," summary judgment of infringement relating to these remaining claims is vacated.
