United States DC Circuit

Libertarian National Committee Inc. v. Federal Election Commission, 18-5227

Upheld the constitutionality of the Federal Election Campaign Act, rejecting a challenge brought by the Libertarian National Committee. The political organization contested the use of a two-tiered contribution limit and the application of contribution limits to a bequest from a donor. However, the D.C. Circuit was not persuaded by the First Amendment arguments.
