United States DC Circuit
In re Grand Jury Investigation, 18-3052
Affirmed an order holding an individual in contempt for failing to comply with grand jury subpoenas served on him by Special Counsel Robert S. Mueller III. The man contended that the Special Counsel's appointment was unlawful under the Appointments Clause of the Constitution, making the subpoenas defective. However, the D.C. Circuit was unconvinced by his argument and upheld the civil contempt order.
